"I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph". Shirley Temple

Its CHRISTmas eve! The most wonderful time of the year and my friend Mary is getting ready to go into labor. Unfortunately, I cannot go with her. I do not do stinking stables. But I will bring a priceless gift that keeps giving to her Son. Actually, it would be like a return investment of what I received. The gift that is 'ME'. How did I know it will be a boy? The scan of the greatest story I ever heard as a little girl, revealed that. It goes something like this; Once upon a time, a very long time ago. In a little town called 'Bread-house', as I dreamed of a White Christmas. I heard the serene melody of the First Noel...

It was a Silent and Oh Holy Night. The streets were alive with the Sound of Music. And better still, it was beginning to Look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go. And even as I write this, The weather outside is so frightful. But who is complaining? Just Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! As we Deck the halls, Chestnuts are roasting in an open fire. And It came upon a midnight clear, that Frosty the snowman. Was banging on the door! Would have invited him in, but the Three Kings and Merry Gentlemen. Had taken up all the space. Also, they had brought precious gifts with them. So sorry Frosty, your nook went to the highest bidder. You may go ride an open sleigh with Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

Frosty won't be coming for dinner

I would tell you more tales, as I Jingle Bell. But I just Saw Three Ships Come Sailing By and I have to go. I really want to find out what Child Is This? That was born on Christmas Day. I had asked my friend Mary a simple question. Mary Did You Know? How hard or traumatizing, could that inquiry have been? But she went into a moment of deep silence, so I left her alone. Before I leave to tend to Heralding Angels, here are A Few of my Favorite Things and song:

'Ding dong Merrily on high!! Hosanna in excelsis...!.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me a diamond in a velvet box

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me two large banquets

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me three massive homes

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me four sports cars

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me five healthy juniors

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me six maids a-helping

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me seven seamstress sewing

On the eight day of Christmas my true love gave to me eight cobblers making

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me nine chest of treasures

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me ten hours of napping

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me eleven mounds of memories

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me twelve strands of grey hair

Chioma Onwudiwe Christmas 2014

That was all good, delightful and nice. But all I really want for Christmas is......

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS! Do have a joy filled and peaceful season.

Go ahead and see what's inside.
