Carnivorous: Part 2 (All On Board!)

While they spoke. The younger woman noticed, that more people were beginning to show up. These special and selected people, were now in their specific waiting areas. There was no shortage of style, glitz and glamour, as would be expected, in such a gathering. Each waiting section, had a sign above it, indicating the industry represented. As they waited in their respective booths. A long red carpeted platform, would roll to the front and stop. As each person stepped on it, they were handed a bejeweled box, with their names inscribed on it. These boxes, varied in sizes. Depending on their level of contribution, to this unique group.

"There goes the media now." The woman indicated by waving her hand, towards the small group boarding. "You have the mass and social representatives. They are a crucial and important part of this mission. They broadcast the narrative that helps us, not hurt us. Then you have the social also. Working very hard to cover and/or clear, any damning tracks. All the while. suppressing any dissenting voices. Impressive, huh?" She grinned and then continued.

"Boarding the platform now, is education. Most of their decision makers and curriculum setters, belong to our group. They have done a good job of dulling minds and designing a 'one track' thought process. We have even the best of the league institutes, on board." She smiled proudly. "Who do we have boarding now?" The younger woman asked, with peaked interest. "That's our sports team. We pay a pretty sum, to our workers in this arena. Both for endorsements and every other necessary shenanigans. I think I see someone kneeling now. Okay, next..."

"That's the health crew, boarding now." "You mean for emergencies?" The younger woman asked. "No!! Take a good look at those. Especially the one getting on now." The other woman looked and nodded in recognition. "He's had a lot to say lately, but all he has to say, has been in the works for at least 25 years. This much I can agree, with the 'The Old Book'. 'There's nothing new under the sun'. There has been some hugely unforeseen hiccups, for this industry. But we are pushing."

"And here comes our most distinguished guests," she announced proudly. "Entertainment and Politics!" "But how come, these are going in double files together? Unlike the others in single files." The younger woman wanted to know. "Well, well, well," began the narrator. "They are often bed fellows and work hand in hand. And more importantly, they are the most influential. One controls by conditioning with a chosen visual narrative. A narrative that serves the agenda of a few and often detrimental to most. And the other controls by striving to install puppets, that promote and project same agendas. Even making laws that protect us, not necessarily the people."

Suddenly, they heard a slight commotion, coming from the platform. One of the guests, was arguing about which industry she would enter with....
